The Xarel·lo, a unique variety
The X, is the indigenous variety par excellence of the Penedès. It is ours, from our country, it is difficult to adapt to other land or weather than the Penedès. For this reason, more than 90% of world production is made in the Penedès.
It has a characteristic unusual in the best grape varieties: it is very resistant to pests. For this reason we can harvest it early to make a great sparkling wine or delay the vintage, to make a great white wine.
This variety gives us very gastronomic wines, with character but softness at the same time. They combine very well with all kinds of dishes.
