The Torrelavit winery begins a new phase with the commitment to producing sparkling wines of distinction made in the heart of the Penedès.
The first bottles of the sparkling Salvage Brut Vintage 2014 and Salvage Rosé Brut Vintage 2014 are ready to hit the market with the seal of the Corpinnat brand. Taking advantage of the redesign, the bottles incorporate a medallion to highlight the vintage, since these two sparkling wines are only produced from one off harvests.
The incorporation of Nadal as one of the founding wineries of the EU brand Corpinnat is the culmination of a long process. This began in 1943 with the founding of the winery by Ramon Nadal Giró. His vision of producing sparkling wines of the highest quality was achieved in two ways: first only crops of autochthonous varieties were to be used and secondly the whole production cycle from vineyard to market was to be controlled to guarantee the excellence of the product.
With its respect for the land and for responsible cultivation and production the Nadal Estate has found a new harmony in the way it produces its wines over the last 25 years. Through the gradual maturation of different varieties it is able to ensure that they are manually harvested and manually produced into wine. In addition to this, the Macabeo surface has also been reduced in favour of the Parellada, and the red
Xarel•lo has been recently reintroduced.
As a result of the collective brand Corpinnat’s demanding philosophy of producing excellent sparkling wines, Nadal resumed some years ago the organic cultivation of the vine (as it was done back in 1943). As a novelty, it incorporates the date of disgorging on the bottle, to offer the client all the information to guarantee the best tasting experiences.
The first bottles of the 2014 harvest for the sparkling wines Salvatge Brut and Salvatge Rosé Brut will be available as of Easter. These are the first bottles of Nadal to be be marketed with the Corpinnat seal. They are proof of Nadal’s commitment to making sparkling wines of great distinction: produced in the heart of the Penedès, in a way that respects the environment, with ecological handpicked traditional varieties, vinification taking place on the property and the guaranteed long ageing in the bottle in the cellar.
