Chocolate is a product with a rich range of aromas and textures that, combined with wine, can create surprising pairings. On this wine tasting and chocolate visit in the Penedès, we tour the vineyard and the cellar and offer four pairings designed one by one with chocolates from Simón Coll, a chocolate house from the Penedès itself —a farm-to-table pairing. It lasts two hours, costs €38 per person, and is done in groups of 2 to 20 people. Available in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
The visit
A journey through the history of Nadal de la Boadella Estate and its wines. We will learn about the main stages of the production of our corpinnat sparkling wines and noble white wines. We will take a tour to the vineyards, the winery, and the foundational cellar, nearly 20 meters deep. And, of course, we will conclude with a tasting in a privileged environment.
Tasting
In the garden of the countryside house, a small green oasis surrounded by vineyards, we will enjoy a very special tasting:
- Salvatge Brut Rosé 2021 & Milk chocolate flowers with raspberry and white chocolate and strawberry bonbon with praliné.
- Nadal Brut Nature 2017 & Corck 50% Ghana chocolate with cava marc truffle and Milk chocolate flowers with crunch.
- Nadal X Vermell Collection 2021 & 70% cocoa leaves with fleur de sel and chocolate milk flowers with lemon.
- Nadal 1510 Botrytis Noble 2003 & 70% chocolate bonbons with praliné and 70% cocoa flowers with orange.
Four pairings: Salvatge Brut Rosé 2021 with raspberry milk chocolate flower and white strawberry praline bonbon; Nadal Brut Nature 2017 with Ghana chocolate “cork” and hazelnut praline flower; Nadal X Vermell Col·lecció 2021 with salted 70% cocoa sheet and lemon flower; and Nadal 1510 Botrytis Noble 2003 with 70% bonbon and orange chocolate.
Because the chocolates come from Simón Coll, a chocolate house located right in the Penedès, and the wines come from the vineyards surrounding the cellar. Everything on the table has been produced just a few kilometres from where it’s tasted.
Two hours and €38 per person, in groups of 2 to 20 people. A different way to discover our wines, through the pairing with Simón Coll chocolate.
