NADAL IS LOOKING FOR 50 YOUNG PEOPLE WHO LIKE WINE, TO SELECT THE PROFILE OF THE FIRST SPARKLING WINE THE BRAND WILL PREPARE WITH RED XAREL·LO
- This Committee will meet once every quarter and will examine the evolution of the sparkling wines made from three micro-vinifications with grapes of the 2016
Nadal has launched a new project to produce the first sparkling wine from the variety Red Xarel·lo. To bring the final product as close as possible to the taste of young consumers, the winery is looking for 50 young people who like wine, between the ages of 20 and 40, to join a tasting Committee which will choose the profile of this new sparkling wine.
This Committee will meet once every quarter and will examine the evolution of the sparkling wines made from three micro-vinifications with grapes of the 2016 harvest, with three different points of ripening. Based on the results of analysis and taste, the winery will evaluate the differences between the three sparkling wines, and consider how to develop these parameters as it increases the bottle ageing in the depth of the original cellar.
The aim is for this tasting Committee to be a constant and stable group in order to guarantee the same criteria for all tastings throughout the process. The Committee will meet every quarter and, apart from wine tasting to choose the future sparkling Red Xarel·lo, emblematic products and novelties of the cellar will also be tasted.
Xavier Nadal, technical director of the winery, said: “If all goes well, by the 2019 harvest we will have sufficient knowledge in order to master the production of sparkling Red Xarel·lo with properties and a style that are unique.”.
